In order to build knowledge and understanding of the ideas, perceptions and behaviours on gender based discrimination and gender based violence, Target Group Education on gender issues, gender rights and equality, gender-based and domestic violence and male involvement is being conducted. Within the scope of the Target Group Education, UNFPA in partnership with the International Center on Conflict and Negotiation (ICCN) conducted gender trainings for 180 educators throughout Georgia using the specifically designed training curriculum. Educators including NGO representatives, youth, teachers, representatives of local authorities, media representatives, medical doctors, house workers and IDPs were trained on gender issues, gender rights and equality.

In summer 2009, in partnership with the Caucasus Social Marketing Association (CSMA) GBV-SC Georgia organized information sessions on gender, domestic violence and HIV/AIDS covering approximately 5000 young people in the Youth Summer Camps “Patrioti” throughout Georgia.
