Contest guidelines and rules:
- All journalists working or interested in working on gender issues are eligible to apply;
- Contest entries will be judged in two categories: best article (both print and electronic) and best TV/radio story;
- All entries must be in Georgian or English languages and shall be published/aired from January 2010 to October 31, 2010.
- Entries shall be submitted to GBV-SC Georgia office no later than October 31, 2010, at UNFPA, Combating Gender-based violence in the South Caucasus project, Business Centre, 47/57 Kostava St., Office 9, 3rd floor, Tbilisi, 0179
Contest entries must be accompanied by journalists' contact information sheet (name, surname, workplace, telephone, e-mail).
The contest winners will be identified and awarded with certificates and valuable prizes within the framework of the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence 2010. Entries will be judged by their informational value, quality, relevance of the topic, coverage and journalistic skills. Competent jury will be assigned for the contest.
